Chateau Gaby is an impressive blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.  A rich, elegant wine, this Bordeaux is a pleasure to drink. The chateau itself is full of character and the grounds are stunning. The vineyards are hand farmed using organic methods with organic certification coming in two years. 2014 $38 a bottle.

Chateau Gaby Cuvee – Five hundred and ninty six of the most important Bordeaux wines were blind tested in over 90 sessions over 180 wine connoisseurs. Purchased at retail stores and wrapped in brown paper, the meticulously crafted Gaby Cuvee beat out the big names. The 2012 will drink well now and for another 10 years. Each bottle is signed and numbered by the wine maker Damien Landouar.

Chateau Moya‘s property, adjacent to Saint-Emilion AOC, has a brand new cellar constructed with 50% of the wine fermented in oak vats and 50% in stainless steel vats.  Chateau Moya bordeaux is certified Organic. 2014 $28 a bottle.

Chateau Du Parc‘s Saint Emilion Grand Cru has an oak heavy nose with licorice, black cherry and cocoa to help mellow out the strong espresso notes. Round, plush and forward, with a sweet, black raspberry, dark plum and espresso finish.  Set in a beautiful part of France.   2014 $48 a bottle.
